The Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Authority, an autonomous body established by an Act of Parliament (PPV&FR Act, 2001) under the Department of Agriculture and Co-operation, Ministry of Agriculture invites applications for filling up of the following posts:

1. “Computer Assistant”- category General(UR), No of post – One

Method of Recruitment: Direct

Scale of Pay: Rs 9300-34800/- with GP Rs 4200/-(as per pay band 2) and other allowances as admissible

Educational and other qualifications:-

Essential:

Degree from a recognized university in Computer Applications and at least one year experience in Data base management in an organization of repute.

Age limit: - Maximum 30 years on closing date of application receipt.

2. “Plant Variety Evaluator”, No of post –Three

Method of recruitment- Contractual (renewable annually maximum upto 3 years)

Emoluments- Rs 18000/- pm (consolidated) & no other allowances are admissible.

Educational and other qualifications:-

Essential:

Ph D in Plant Breeding & Genetics/Seed Science and Technology/Economic Botany/Genetic Resources and Ecology/Vegetable Sc & Floriculture/Computer Applications in Agriculture/IPR Related program/Horticulture & Tree Science/Social Science and Humanities/Medicinal and Aromatic Plants/Plantation crops/Forestry/Crop Biotechnology followed by 2 years of Research/HRD experience/IPR related experience.

Age limit:- Maximum 40 years on closing date of application receipt.
