Walk-in interview for Mining /Mineral Processing Engineers
for recruitment as Senior Managers (E5) grade
SAIL, a Navaratna Company, with an annual turnover of around Rs. 50,000 crore is one of
the leading steel manufacturing Company of India as well as the world. It has its own
Integrated Steel Plants, Special Steel Plants and captive mines. To meet the raw material
requirement for its future growth plan, it is in the process of expansion of its existing mines
as well as development of new mines. We require energetic and result oriented persons for
this challenging task at the following middle management levels :-
Senior Manager (Mine) : 1 Post
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mining Engineering from a recognized
institute/university
Experience: At least 12 years working experience in the following field as on 1.10.09 :-
· Operation in a mechanized iron ore mine.
· Mine planning, pit optimization, mine design, production scheduling, dump design,
reserve estimation, equipment productivity analysis, evaluation of various options for
mining and material handling.
· Expert user of mining softwares lime DATAMINE, SURPACE, MINEMAX etc. for
ore body modeling, mine planning, pit optimization, production scheduling and
equipment simulation.
· Preparation of Feasibility Report/Project Report/Detailed Project Report and
conducting feasibility studies, technical audits and due diligence studies for
mechanized mine.
· Writing proposal, identifying resources, estimating engineering man hours and
project schedules.
Senior Manager (Mineral Processing) : 2 Posts
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mineral Processing Engineering from a recognized
institute/university
Experience: At least 12 years working experience in the following field as on 1.10.09 :-
· Operation of iron ore processing/beneficiation plant of a mechanized iron ore
mine.
· Developing programme for ore characterization and bench variability testing and
interpreting test results for developing process route for beneficiation and
upgradation of iron ore.
· Designing process flow sheet having crushing, grinding, screening, classification,
cycloning, jigging, gravity separation, magnetic separation, palletizing based on
ore testing.
· Writing proposal for beneficiation plant, pelletisation plant etc.
Age: (Common for both the posts) : Born not earlier than October 1, 1969 (Upper age limit
of 40 years is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 10
years for Physically Handicapped candidates).
Interested candidates fulfilling the above criteria may walk in for interview at Industry
House 5th Floor, Camac street, Kolkata on 20.11.09, along with one passport-size
photograph, all original documents and a self attested copy of the same regarding proof of
age, academic & professional qualifications, experience and caste certificate (if applicable)
NOTE:
- · All eligible candidates would be essentially required to register between 0830 hrs to
- 1030 hrs for appearing in the interview.
- · Reservations will be provided for SC/ST/OBC and physically Handicapped Persons as
- per Presidential Directives.
- · The pay scale for the both the posts is Rs. 18500-4%-23900 (E5), which is under
- revision w.e.f 1.1.2007.
- · Management reserves the right to restrict the number of applicants for interview
- depending on the level of response, experience & academic record.
- · The positions are based at Ranchi and Rourkela. However, the selected candidates can
- be posted to any location on an all India basis as per requirement.
- · No TA/DA etc. will be paid for appearing in these interviews.
- · Candidates working in Govt./Semi Govt./PSUs will have to produce NOC from their
- present employers in the event of their selection.
- · Candidates are required to bring filled in Bio-Data form, enclosed herewith, along with
three copies, at the time of interview.
